4 out of 5 stars Nice lights   January 6, 2009
SuperD (Laguna Beach, CA USA)
I bought this for my 10yr old's electric scooter. He wanted to "customize" his scooter, so I thought these lights had a very unique look to them. My son loves them. He put them on his scooter himself and is happy with them. I won't let him ride at night, but he sure loves to tell his friends about his new custom scooter and show it off with lights on and all!

4 out of 5 stars Weird but nice   December 28, 2008
S. Pauter (Spring Valley, CA United States)
Ok, so one reason I bought this set was because the headlight is so strange looking. But I like the fact that it has a 2-on, 2-flashing setting giving good illumination plus the added safety of better visibility. One thing I didn't realise is that this light is pretty big. I can understand the durability questions about the mount other reviewers have made. It's a lightweight bracket for a heavy light. But so far I have had no problems. The taillight is very bright with side-mounted LEDs and a much easier to use mounting bracket.
Oddly, when I bought this set, it was cheaper to buy both than the headlight alone. I'm very happy with them.

5 out of 5 stars Blackburn Quadrant and Mars 3.0 Combo Bicycle Light Set   December 23, 2008

Great product. Well worth the cost. Good front illumination, excellent rear illimunation. Instructions are competently written. Only downside is need for small screwdriver to change battery. Both lights are removable for security.

5 out of 5 stars Bike Light   November 29, 2008

We used this light set on a mobility scooter chair....attached it to the handle bar in front and even found a place for the red back light...the strapping mechanism made it easy to improvise a location to mount. Wow, does it light up the night. We used it to travel around an RV park at night recently and everyone else was following us to find their way "home" to their rigs! Great product.

4 out of 5 stars Light fell into creek, still flashing in creek, but otherwise very bright!   November 10, 2008
Michael D. (Seattle, WA)
I put these lights on my cyclocross bike, then rode around on some rough trails at dusk last night. It was my first ride in the dark, but wow, they totally lit up the way in front of me. There are plenty of adjustability options (although the rear light seems to be aimed low by default). I read about the rear light being fragile, although it only seemed that way if you exert a lot of pressure on it.

The catch is -- make sure the front light is really mounted and secure. I am guessing that I had a defective front mount because last night on that ride, the thing tumbled off, and into a culvert/pool of water. I checked the depth, but it was about 4-5 feet deep. Now passersby have a flashing creek until the battery runs out. At least we know its waterproof!
