The picture is a little deceiving. What I actually needed was the bracket between this part and the bike frame. So, the purchase of this was actually a waste. If this part was the part that broke, then it would have been useful.

Does the job admirably April 26, 2007
Twice-lived (Lyons, CO United States)
This is just the tool for the job if you're fixing up an old freewheel-equipped bike with indexed shifters like my wife's 20-year old Ross. Not exactly high performance, but it handles wide ratios with aplomb and works nicely with Tourney SIS levers.
