Great gear! August 25, 2010 Caleb Sweatt (Osan AB, S. Korea) I ordered these after using some cheap stuff I bought from a local sports store. The fact that the elbow and knee pads actually have sleeves on them makes a world of difference. They stay nice and snug in place. They were a little uncomfortable at first but after using them twice or so they seem to have worn in just fine. Movement is not restricted at all while wearing this gear, I use them to inline skate and they work perfectly. Highly recommended.
Great fit... Great protection... Great price... August 18, 2010 Twin's Dad I have twin 5 yoa boys. Very active and very physical. The pads fit well and will get lots of use. Having to buy two of everything, these are a great value.
LOVE 'EM! August 5, 2010 PenName FINALLY PADS THAT FIT! I'm 5'4 female inline skater of average size with somewhat smallish wrists, and the Medium size is sweet perfection. Ever since my beloved Rollerblade pads died (after I stopped duct taping them to my body and conducted a long search for used ones), I've never found a three set where everything fit. These look and fit almost exactly like those old Rollerblade pads that haven't been available for years. Well-made protection. I would pay twice as much for these.
These pads do not protect you well for skateboarding July 5, 2010 Alan Mattei (Irvington, NY United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When I received these pads I found their quality to be okay and the fit was pretty good. I use the elastic sleeve instead of just putting the Velcro straps on. That keeps them in place much better if you fall.
The problem with these pads is that if you fall while moving, the edge of the pad will catch the pavement and slide the pad up your knee/arm so that you have no protection just when you need it most.
The first time I though I just didn't have them on tight enough. The second time I realized what happened and looking closer at the pad I could see how the pavement ground the edge of the pad down, pulled it off my arm and now I'm nursing two huge raspberries on my elbows.
They might protect you from falling straight down, but if you slide on the pavement these pads are not going to work for you.
work great! April 22, 2010 C. Hoag (pennsylvania) This set works great, I use them for roller derby. I like how the wrist guards have a hard protective bump on the palm, so when I fall it's better protection/shock absorber. The knee pads protect my knees so well, I could fall all day, and my knees wouldn't feel a thing. The set even came with a mesh bag to transport them.
